2019 Fall

F

aculty restored the smaller class designation over the summer, so we now have three price categories sorted by course length:

  1. 6 classes or less (i.e. a “short” course) at $25 per course (not per class),
  2. 7-9 classes (i.e. a “regular” course) at $35 per course, and
  3. 10 or more classes (a “long” course) at $45 per course.

To offset the sting, we offer a flat $5 discount for advance payment of class fees in cash or direct deposit to our bank via by Interac.

Cash surpluses continue to be pooled to offset the expenses of undersized classes or such other uses as Faculty may later decide (e.g. the occasional social to burn off some surplus since there’s only so much cushion we need).

Kindly remember that all of our staff are volunteers — they receive nothing for their efforts other than the joy of teaching. If you feel your instructor(s) ought to get something for their efforts, a simple “thank you” does wonders (especially if it comes with a hug). Or buy them a coffee, as you prefer.
