2012 Winter

To save classroom booking heartaches, Schola has already booked our space at the Bronson Centre for next fall and winter. These 22 classes will run in their now traditional Thursday evening timeslots. Our Winter session courses, however, didn’t manage to snag space at the Bronson Centre and will be held elsewhere. Contact your Instructors for how to find your classrooms.

We have two courses on offer in the Winter session:
  1. Marie and team have offered a second round of Circle Basics (OPS-100) on Thursday evenings in the West end starting in the 3rd week of January;
    and David is doing a repeat of last Fall’s oversubscibed Introduction to Divination (OPS-105) on Thursday evenings starting January 10. If there was no room for you in September, here’s a second chance!

February update: Schola courses need at least 4 students to make it worth the Instructors’ while to give up 10 weeks of their lives and this happened for neither course. Since both were repeats “on popular demand”, t’would appear that Faculty needs a more accurate way of assessing such demand.

    I n September Faculty updated our fee schedule, the first significant change since 2012. The new rates fall into two categories: 9 classes or less (i.e. a “short” course) will be $35 while 10 or more classes (a “long” course) will be priced at $45. To offset the sting, we now offer a flat $5…

    Welcome to the start of a new academic year! We’ll also be doing Intermediate Circle (OPS-200) in the Winter session if enough applicants commit to…

    Quick Update: Someone in the Russian Federation seems to have taken exception to our little school and keeps crashing the website. And I keep putting it back up with some new wrinkle designed to keep them out. This weekend’s wrinkle seems to be keeping them out, so I’ve put the Test version up where y’all…
